Spine Fusion Explosion. Why?

What is the reason so many spine surgeons around the country are fusing their patients from head to toe? Is it the money? Are they all sociopaths? Does the surgery need to be done? Were you just a guinea pig? Why did you have that huge operation. Did your spine surgeon tell you that you would become paralyzed without the surgery (scare tactics)?
